The American Permaculture Directory:  A further description ...

Eleven years since the 1987 version, the 1998 edition is finally in print. Section II features profiles of over 350 individual Permaculture Design Course certificate-holders. More than 125 Permaculture businesses, communities, organizations, and publications were given a chance to describe themselves in fifty words or less in Section III.

Since only graduates of the basic design course have earned the right to use the term "Permaculture," the roster of all who have taken a basic or advanced course is being compiled. The most up-to-date list of 349 Pc courses and their students through 1998 is presented as the "Registry" in Section IV and, of course, will be periodically updated and improved as additions and corrections are received. "Pc" explanations, definitions, statistics, articles, lists, and other seeds are strewn throughout.
